Adamawa State Governor hands over patrol vehicles to security agencies.

Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has handed over newly acquired Nigerian-made operational patrol vehicles to security agencies in the state to complement their efforts in the fight against insecurity.

The handing over ceremony which took place at the Government House Yola was attended by the Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, his Deputy Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, top Government officials and the Heads of security agencies in the state.

In his speech, the Governor acknowledged the efforts of security agencies in the state, a development he said that has placed Adamawa on the map as the most peaceful state in Nigeria.

He said that the gesture is meant to serve as an impetus to the security in their ongoing efforts to ensure the state is secured and peaceful for the inhabitants to continue sleeping with their both eyes closed.

He maintained that though the state is peaceful but the task wasn’t easy as it involves commitment and investment from the government to achieve peace and stability in the state.

While commending the efforts of the security agencies in the state and country at large, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, maintained that such a gesture is what security agencies needed at this critical time in the history of the country, pledging more support to the security agencies in the state to enable them carry out their function effectively.

Fintiri affirmed that the government peace efforts and the gallantry of security agencies has placed Adamawa State as one of the most preferred destinations for investment, calling on investors to take advantage of the opportunity and invest more in the state.

He emphasized that their is cordial relationship between the state government and security agencies in the state and pledged to maintain it in order to ensure security is maintained and the people sleep with their both eyes closed.

In his speech the Adamawa State Brigade Commandant Brigade General Ogbonnaya Amechi Agwu, who spoke on behalf of the state Heads of security agencies, appreciated the Governor for matching his words with action, a development that guaranteed safety of the citizens in the state.

He stated that the gesture will go a long way in encouraging personnel on the frontline and address pockets of insecurity in the state.

He added that the effective utilization of the patrol vehicles will no doubt address security challenges in the state and encourage personnel to be on their toes and on alert to fight against men of the underworld.
