Nigeria Army denies abduction of Task Force Commander.

The Nigerian Army has dismissed reports claiming the abduction of the Commander, 25 Task Force Brigade, Brigadier General M Uba, confirming he led his troops out of an ambush near Wajiroko in Borno State. The Army said insurgents attacked the patrol returning from an operation in Sambisa, but troops overpowered them with superior firepower.
The Army confirmed two soldiers and two Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) members died in the clash. It urged the public to ignore false reports and rely on official updates.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, praised the troops for courage and their sacrifices in a high-risk conflict zone.
