Ogun State Governor unveil remodel council chamber

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Friday unveiled the newly remodeled Executive Council Chambers at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying the upgrade was part of his administration’s long-term urban renewal and infrastructure regeneration agenda.
Abiodun disclosed this in a Friday statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), where he explained that the former chambers had deteriorated significantly, prompting the decision to remodel rather than construct an entirely new Governor’s Office.
“We reaffirmed our commitment to delivering infrastructure that will stand the test of time as Chief Olusegun Osoba unveiled the newly remodeled Executive Council Chambers at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta,” the governor wrote.
He said the previous state of the facility was unacceptable, noting that the remodel was intentionally chosen to demonstrate prudence and seriousness in governance.
Abiodun added that the redesigned chambers were equipped with advanced features to enhance governance efficiency.
The governor emphasised that the project forms part of a wider regeneration effort across key urban areas in the state.

“This project is part of our broader regeneration and Urban Renewal Programme, which includes the facelift of major landmarks such as the Ibara GRA,” he said.
Abiodun said he appreciated the role of his Executive Council members and paid tribute to former Governor Olusegun Osoba, who commissioned the remodeled chambers.
“We appreciated the contributions of our Executive Council members and paid tribute to Chief Osoba for his leadership and enduring support,” he stated.
He also referenced Osoba’s commendation of ongoing state renewal projects. PN
