Lamido Adamawa, Doctor Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha has charged the newly inaugurated State executive members of Muslim Council to unite and work together to move the council forward.
Lamido Adamawa gave the charge while inaugurating the state executive members of the council who will run the affairs of the council for the next three years held at the council Headquarters.
Represented at the event by Ma’aji Adamawa, Doctor Ahmed Rufai, Lamido expressed hope that their re-election would go a long way strengthen the unity among Muslims ummah.
Doctor Barkindo while congratulating them, prayed for the success of the council and pledged his support to the council at all times.
In his remark, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who was represented by the Commissioner of Housing Development, Abdullahi Prambe restated his administration commitment toward ensuring peace and security across the state.
Governor Fintiri explained that Muslim council and Islamic preachers have a critical role to play in uniting Muslim under one umbrella especially during the forthcoming electioneering campaign times.
He advised Islamic preachers to always call the attention whoever did wrongfully aside inset of insulting him during their sermon.
Speaking, the Guest of honour at the event, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, Ibrahim Mijinwaya Yayaji challenged Muslim Council to key into three aspect include uniting of Muslims, Building and Supporting vulnerable Muslim among them and Acquiring sound knowledge by all Muslim ummah.
Earlier chairman of occasion, National Chairman Jama’atil Izalatil Bidi’a Waikamatis Sunnah, Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau represented by Ustaz Ali Mamman expressed with delight with the leadership of Alhaji Gambo Jika and prayed Allah to reward and protect him.
In his part guest Speaker, Vice Chancellor Federal University Kashere Gombe, Professor Umaru Pate spoke on topic “The New Media and Islamic Values in Adamawa State Influence, Power Control”.
Professor Pate noted that with avenue of new media leaders at all level and parents lost control of their subject.
The Kaigama Adamawa called on parents to ensure their wards acquired digital skills such as Artificial Intelligence A.I computer in order to make them relevant in the society.
In his acceptance speech on behalf of the state executive members of Muslim Council Adamawa, Alhaji Gambo Jika expressed appreciation to those who contributed to the success of the inauguration and prayed Allah to reward them.
Alhaji Jika appealed to wealthy Muslim individuals to support the council to enable them to discharge their duties effectively.
