Security authorities have visited Lamurde Local Government Area following recent communal disturbances, with a top police chief assuring residents of renewed efforts to restore peace.
The Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Operations, DIG Bzigu Yakubu Kwazhi Dali, paid a security assessment visit to the Hama Bachama, where he commiserated with families affected by the unrest.
During the visit, DIG Dali inspected the level of security deployment in the area and conveyed the condolences of the Inspector-General of Police to communities that suffered losses.
He appealed for calm and encouraged residents to embrace peaceful coexistence while cooperating with security agencies as steps continue to stabilize the situation.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer for Adamawa State Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the DIG was accompanied by the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone Three, the Commissioner of Police Adamawa State, the Director of the Department of State Services, and other senior officers.
He said security agencies will continue to work together to restore and maintain law and order in Lamurde.
