The commemorating this year’s World Disability Day, Goodness Fredrick Foundation and it partners have empower People Living With Disability in the state.
The empowerment programme held at the Physical Challenge Person workshop on Saturday.
Speaking the Executive Director Goodness Fredrick Foundation, Goodness Fredrick explained that people living with disability have a critical role to play in nation building, hence the decision by the Foundation to empower them and to give them a sense of belonging.
The Executive Director expressed delight with the way and manner the living with disability conducted themselves during the program and urged them to maintain the posture.
Mrs Fredrick advised them to change their mindset by engaging in productive activities instead of begging.
In his remark, Engineer John Enoch from Triacta Nigeria Limited described the empowerment programs as timely and commended Goodness Fredrick Foundation for facilitating the empowerment and promised the company’s support to persons living with disability in the state.
He advised beneficiaries of the empowerment program to make good use of the items for the purpose intended.
Some of the beneficiaries interviewed, Abubakar Mohammed and Koda Zira Ambros expressed appriciation to Goodness Fredrick Foundation and prayed to God reward them aboundantly.
Items distributed during the programme include Wheelchair, Walking Stick and Cash donation among others.
